Preparing for Barts (Queen Mary)
What matters most at Barts (Queen Mary).
- 01
Barts uses a panel rather than an MMI, so prepare for follow-up questions that test the depth of your reflection.
- 02
The UCAT must be at or above the 4th decile with SJT bands 1 to 3 to pass the first screen, and it counts again at the offer stage.
- 03
Offers combine interview score, SJT, academics and UCAT, so no single element decides the outcome.
Notes by Dr S Farooq, MBChB, BSc (Hons). Checked October 2026.
