How the shortlist works
For each of 39 UK medical schools we use the figures and rules on the school's own pages, as checked in October 2026 and shown on its Vetta guide with the year they apply to. We only compare your UCAT with a published figure when it is on the current 900 to 2700 scale. A score 100 or more above a school's latest published figure is shown as clear; within 100 as close; below as under. Published minimums, typical offers and SJT rules can make a school unlikely. Schools that rank applicants each year, or combine the UCAT with academics, cannot be predicted precisely, so they appear as possible. We never show a percentage chance, because no published data supports one.
